On Thursday 20th August, the Rainbow Centre lunch club headed to Gulliver’s Theme Park for an action-packed summer trip.
The group enjoyed a range of rides including Dragon Siege, the Buccaneer, the Drop, the log flume and dodgems. Thanks to our funders, everyone was treated to a delicious meal of burger and chips or chicken coujons and chips.
Sports coaches from the South London Renegades and our own Junior Leaders made sure all the children were well looked after and had a great time throughout the day.

The trip was made possible thanks to BACE and the Mayor’s Fund for London, who funded our summer programme.
Special Mention : Our Amazing Junior Leaders
We want to give a special shout-out to our incredible Junior Leaders: Ellis, Eloise, Valerie and Maddie.

Ellis, Eloise and Valerie first started attending the lunch club back in 2014, meaning they have been part of the programme for an incredible 12 years. Maddie joined a couple of years later and is also a veteran of the club.
It has been a privilege to watch them grow over the years, and we hope we helped them along the way. Now, they are moving on to exciting new chapters:
- Ellis – going to UCL
- Eloise – going to Imperial College
- Maddie – going to Reading
- Valerie – taking a gap year before continuing her studies
We could not be prouder of these incredible young people.
