Dollis Valley Food Bank

Welcome to the Dollis Valley Food Bank, where we are dedicated to providing food and support to those in need in our local area. We understand that times can be tough, and our mission is to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry or feels alone.

Currently, we are proud to be supporting over sixty families every week, with new people attending our Thursday sessions regularly. We believe in addressing the cost-of-living crisis by offering free food supplies that last for three days, including a complete meal. Each food bag is carefully packed with as many fresh vegetables and fruits as we can provide, such as potatoes, onions, carrots, bananas, apples, and oranges.

Thanks to the incredible support of generous organisations like the Felix Project, Barnet Food Hub and local supermarkets, we receive weekly deliveries of fresh produce, dairy products, and, when available, meat and store cupboard essentials. In addition to that, the heartwarming donations from individuals, like the couple who buy trays of fruits and vegetables from Barnet Market to donate to our centre, truly make a difference.

Beyond providing essential groceries, we strive to make our food bank a place of community and learning. We occasionally offer information on unique ingredients and recipes, and we utilise some of the food donations to host our lunch club and weekly community cooking sessions. We also believe in supporting parents by distributing nappies and other baby care goods, as well as providing feminine hygiene products to those who need them.

Our doors are open every Thursday from 9am to 1pm, welcoming anyone who requires our services, without any judgment of background, circumstances, or beliefs. We operate with a simple registration process, only requiring your name and postcode to help us track our statistics and enhance our service.

At Dollis Valley Food Bank, we are deeply grateful for the incredible support from our donors and volunteers. Together, they keep our food bank running and allow us to make a positive impact on the lives of many. Our dedicated volunteers collect, sort, and distribute food with a friendly smile and a listening ear, making our visitors feel welcome and valued.

If you’re interested in visiting us, donating to our cause, or becoming a volunteer, we would love to hear from you. You can reach out to us by phone or email
