During the festive season, BCP (Community Support Program) embraced the spirit of giving and solidarity, extending its unwavering support to the local community. The heartwarming initiatives undertaken by BCP during Christmas not only brought joy but also underscored their commitment to uplifting those in need.
Supporting Families with Essential Supplies
BCP’s food bank stood as a pillar of support throughout the Christmas period, offering vital food bags to the local community. The numbers spoke volumes, with a remarkable day seeing 84 individuals benefiting from this service, potentially aiding up to 300 people in total. This continuous effort ensured that families had sustenance during the holiday season.
A Christmas Feast for All
Teaming up with ‘Christmas Lunch on Jesus,’ BCP distributed 30 thoughtfully curated hampers. These hampers contained everything necessary for a delightful Christmas dinner, from succulent turkey to savory stuffing, fresh vegetables, and refreshing beverages. The deliveries, carried out on December 22nd and 23rd, brought festive cheer directly to doorsteps.
Spreading Cheer Amongst Young Hearts
The celebrations extended beyond just meals. On December 23rd, the Rainbow Centre hosted a jubilant Christmas party for local children. Around 25 youngsters reveled in the festivities, participating in lively games like pass the parcel, musical chairs, and musical bumps. Delicious pizza and refreshing drinks added to the merriment. Each child was also generously gifted, thanks to donations from Young Barnet Foundation, Seebright Arms, and Finchley Progressive Synagogue.

Good old BCP, there are of course the directors of the rainbow centre who also work tirelessly week in and week out to improve the lives of local people.
