At the Rainbow Canter, we’ve always been dedicated to supporting the diverse needs of our Barnet community, and today we’re thrilled to celebrate a special milestone with our friends at the Darul Noor Islamic centre.

Five years ago, we received a request from a local resident to host Friday prayers for the small but vibrant Muslim community in our area. What began as an intimate gathering of just six or seven people quickly flourished into something truly special. Over the years, our Centre became a cherished space for Friday prayers, Ramadan observances, Eid celebrations, and even Madrasa classes for the local Muslim children.

As the number of attendees grew, so did the realization that Barnet’s Muslim community needed a dedicated space of its own. Inspired and determined, the community—through Darul Noor Islamic centre—began raising funds and searching for a permanent home in High Barnet. Today, we’re proud to share that they’ve succeeded in establishing a beautiful new space at 1 Bath Place, just off Barnet High Street.

While we will miss hosting these gatherings, we are filled with joy and pride at what Darul Noor Islamic centre has accomplished. Seeing them raise thousands of pounds and create a central space in our neighborhood is truly inspiring. Now, they welcome around 300 attendees for Friday prayers, and the numbers keep growing every week.
