NFL Flag Game: East Barnet School vs. JCoSS

On July 11th, East Barnet School’s Year 9 team celebrated a triumphant victory in their first ever NFL Flag game against JCoSS (Jewish Community Secondary School), with an impressive final score of 26-0. The game was a testament to the students’ dedication and hard work, as they have been diligently training every Monday after school on the astro turf. Their efforts were guided by the skilled coaching from Project BCP, led by Steve Verrall and NFL Flag coordinator Denapoli Williams.

Head of PE at East Barnet School shared his pride, stating, “Congratulations to our Year 9s who beat JCoss school 26-0 in our first ever NFL flag game on the 11th July! The students have been training hard every Monday after school on our astro turf with the coaching the project BCP, run by Steve Verrall and NFL Flag coordinator Denapoli Williams. It has been a fantastic experience for them and we are so lucky to have been given such a diverse opportunity. Lets go again next year!”

Both schools are already gearing up for a highly anticipated rematch, with plans to intensify their recruitment efforts over the coming months. The winning team was awarded a game ball signed by the Tennessee Titans, adding an extra layer of excitement and recognition to their accomplishment.
